Agglomerated

Agglomerated coffee or coffee granules is a very balanced instant coffee with smooth and mellow taste. As this coffee is easy to be broken, it should be store on a firm and tight container such as jars or tins.

What is agglomerated coffee?

Agglomerated coffee has the other name as granulated instant coffee or coffee granules. Agglomerated coffee looks like a hybrid between spray-dried coffee and freeze-dried coffee. This coffee is in a form of granules (bubble-shaped), volatile and easy to be broken. Agglomerated coffee has been beloved by coffee drinkers in developed countries and also positioned as high quality instant coffee.

How do we pack agglomerated coffee?

As agglomerated coffee is easy to be broken, it should be packed in a tight and firm pack. Most perfectly, a jar (plastic or glass made) can store coffee granules at a very ideal condition. A tin can is also a popular packing material for coffee granules as it is firm, tight and neutralized which help to maintain coffee aroma. A stand-up pouch with zipper (or zip-lock) is quite convenient as it is reseal-able and refillable. However, do remember not to insert a valve for pure instant coffee within a stand-up pouch because the valve will ruin instant coffee inside by letting outside moisture coming through. For a busy world of today, coffee granules are packed in single serve packs such as small sachets or sticks (most probably 2 grams per unit) to meet customer’s demand on a quick serving espresso coffee cup.
